for you, mew

Organic produce is scary. I just bit into a peach and THREE…. Not one, but THREE hugeass bugs crawled out of the hole. I’m so grossed out.

X-men3 was horrible. The dialogue was terrible, but I can forgive dialogue with good enough action scenes. However, I cannot forgive the repetition of consistently bad, cheesy scenes with terrible dialogue. I do, however, grudgingly admit that “I’m the juggernaut, bitch!” is one of the best lines I’ve heard thus far.

oakland

Oakland (IEEE security symposium) was an interesting experience. Many many interesting works and presentations. I was glad we’d gone over some of them already in reading group. I liked the five minute work in progress talks a lot. Last night was unexpectedly rowdy. Who knew that the Oakland conference would actually have loud, disruptive parties? I’d be in disbelief too, if I hadn’t seen for myself.

I had such awesome sushi last night… hehehe a Poki Roll!!! how could I not have something called the POKI roll? I also learned a very interesting nickname for one of the guys in seclab. Hehehheheheh…

gooooood day

Sushi was Soooooo good on Saturday. Stopped by Konditori for some dessert (Esterhazy cake) and man that was good. I loooove nutty cakes. ^_^

It feels like summer already. Imagine my horror, if you will, when I expected to feel a cool breeze around 9pm and felt instead muggy, warm air. Oh Davis, why?

I bought “Shadow of the Giant” today. :-) I’m rather hoping it will be the last book in the Ender’s Shadow series. (Which really doesn’t involve Ender much except for Ender’s Games, and I think the entire Ender’s Shadow series is more a spinoff of Ender’s Game series.) I will miss Bean, as he is without a doubt one of my favorite literary characters. (Ender’s far too emotional for me.)

Ack, why did the weekend go by so quickly??

subversive behavior!

If you go to zhongwen.com and look under the Reading’s column, you’ll see that “A Madman’s Diary” gets you the text for “Mao’s Sayings” and “Mao’s Sayings” gets you the text for “A Madman’s Diary.”

I think it’s funny. :)

a bit of sentimentality for humor

Found this in going through college pics. Such happy times… I wish it could have stayed that way forever.

( this is what i learned in Astro class )
