oink oink

Davis has a paintball field!! Now I simply MUST learn to drive.

Ok… I was looking through old conversations, and here’s what I found from the time Amy and I were looking at joke sites.

Three couples went to a resturant. The women wanted to compliment the men with something that was on the table. Could you pass me the sugar, sugar?” said the first gal. “Could you pass me the honey, honey?” said the second. “Could you pass me the bacon, pig?” said the third.

quotables!

“You had Mew at herro.” — Mew, duh.

“Idle lawyers tend to become politicians, so there is a certain social value in keepin lawyers busy.” — Operating System Concepts

“‘My name is Hornblower,’ he quavered at length.
‘What an infernal piece of bad luck for you,’ said a second man at the table, with a complete absence of sympathy.” — Mr. Hornblower, Midshipman

“Hornblower forced himself to smile down at her, concealing the newly discovered fact that he disliked being called ‘Horry’ even more than he disliked being called ‘Horatio.’” — Hornblower and the Hotspur

“‘Look,’ said Arthur, ‘would it save you a lot of time if I just gave up and went mad now?’” — The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

“… Brockian Ultra Cricket (a curious game which involved suddenly hitting people for no readily apparent reason and then running away) …” — The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (So that’s what the Mew and I’ve been playing all these years…)

Nostalgia

Last night I talked to Amy for the first time in a while, which was a very happy thing to do. And then I started looking at high school and college pictures. I regret my aversion to having my picture taken now… There are so many memories and so few visible momentos. If there was one thing that I could do differently, I would take more pictures and document every happy event.

I looked at the pictures of my senior week and I really really miss MA, the people, and the convenience of being in Boston right now. (This, honestly, was one of the happiest weeks I’ve ever had in my LIFE. Ah, and I do promise to email copies of the pictures to everyone or at least post them once I get reliable internet connection.)

So this year… if time permits, I would like to go to:
1. USAFA (because I haven’t seen Amy since Thanksgiving)
2. Wellesley in the fall (to celebrate a belated 21st birthday with the critters)
3. Napa Valley (to celebrate with Olivia)
4. Amy’s graduation
5. Wellesley graduation
6. China
7. Any other places that pop up in my head :-)
That’s a lot of airfare… siiiiigh. I’m sure I won’t be able to do all of it, but it’s worth a try…

Google Talk

Google’s launched an IM service called Google Talk. Very small application that supports VoIP as well. You can also use it with any other chat client via the Jabber protocol, which is something that normal Trillian doesn’t support. And on a sidenote, I have a new found appreciation for the name Trillian now that I’ve read Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

so ronery!

Actually, I’m not that “ronery.” I just like saying “ronery.” And I so wanted Sarabi to see my apartment, but apparently, the rules say they don’t allow dogs - not even for short visits. Bastards!

Alright. Now, for the actual reason I’m posting.
( Hello? Are there any aminals here? )
