fun stuff

*crosses fingers* montreal montreal… *cough*

oh man… wellesley’s not so great in a lot of ways, but damn our professors are awesome and always available to help. i remember last year the department chair’s office hours were 2 hours in the afternoon, but he stayed past 10pm to help students out.

got my paycheck today, finally… (omg… i’ve spent SOOO much money in the last three weeks it’s ridiculous.) and i remember that quote from Friends when rachel gets her first paycheck, “who’s FICA, and why’s he getting all my money?” ahahahahahahahahahhaha…

ok, you’ve all been expecting the nostalgia.. fun things i remember:
eliz’s crazy dyed hair & piercings and her desire for two adopted kids, jamal and zoe.
john calling eliz a liberal hippie.
Ted and little blonde haired girl
“i hope the aliens come for you.”
the mrci kids… who the hell is layne???
“you can’t spell geek w/out the double E!”
“mmm mmm, bitches!”
“i love you man, in a totally plutonic way!”
karen m. on the latterday saints: “what, did they come a day late?”
karen m. on paul’s 7 paged paper: “a 3 paged abstract for your 4 paged paper”
“i shit myself! i really shit myself!” and smithy’s immortal imitation of that
the mouse devil… grrrrrrrr
freestyle walking!!
nice guy camp and it’s one, and possibly gay member… (who has a twin!)
“what’s this? it belongs to [psych girl]!” and flossing the toes
the unfruitful search for something… at stinker station (w/its skunk mascot)
here in libya….
we never did get to sync our presentation to kill bill music… but maybe… *crosses fingers* hahahahha

Such a nice song…

Beauty queen of only eighteen
She had some trouble with herself
He was always there to help her
She always belonged to someone else

I drove for miles and miles
And wound up at your door
I’ve had you so many times but somehow
I want more

I don’t mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
She will be loved

Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful
I know I tend to get so insecure
It doesn’t matter anymore

It’s not always rainbows and butterflies
It’s compromise that moves us along
My heart is full and my door’s always open
You can come anytime you want

I don’t mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
She will be loved

I know where you hide
Alone in your car
Know all of the things that make you who you are
I know that goodbye means nothing at all
Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls

Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful

I don’t mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved

[in the background]
Please don’t try so hard to say goodbye
Please don’t try so hard to say goodbye

Yeah
[softly]
I don’t mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain

Try so hard to say goodbye

tiiiiired

will post pics of the gorgeous violin i’m trying to sell soon. (oh man… i really want to keep it. it looks and sounds so beautiful.)

went to phi sig & AEPi tonight. phi sig’s graffiti party was … eh. the room was really hot and stuffy. so irene and i went to AEPi to see what a party at AEPi is like. adam rosenfeld (from LHS) is now a pledge at AEPi. it’s kinda funny… but i think i know more people from AEPi than all the other frats combined and then some. (It’s such a tame and non-frat frat. and that’s why i like it and the people there.) As we were leaving… matthew (same old jolly giant) and dave, both members of our “group” nicknamed Baker246 (irene was in a quad, which was huge, and it was the central gathering place. matthew & a lot of the guys i know at AEPi all lived in baker. ooh… the memories of freshman year!) came out w/us to say goodbye.
Irene jokes: you don’t have any girly drinks do you?
Dave replies: if i did would you guys stay?
irene + me: No!
group of people walking by, one says, “maybe we should go to burger king”
Dave: No! you should come here instead! (and motions to the door. and they do go inside)
It was very cute and funny.
sam’s in England this year!!! and he’s going out w/jessica now, which i think is really cute because they’ve known each other for 3 years now and they’re both in england. (Jamie’s there too!!)

i. am. so. tired. what i call “social backlash” should begin soon. it has begun, i think. I really don’t want to be social anymore. Augh. I need some me-time SOON to enjoy my single. And the singleness of being in a single on a weekend w/most of the loud freshman off campus. aah… isolation is so very welcome sometimes. i want to hear nothing but the sound of my music and me typing. (because i don’t mind chatting online. i’m just tired of hearing voices.)

I picked up my graduation robe today… Hm. I don’t feel like a senior. But there’s the robe… and the letters and things saying “Class of 2005″ My last year!!! I WILL enjoy it!

i now have a squirrel named Roadkill. A tiny one. I’ll post a picture later. after i finish putting posters up in my room and do my laundry.

one day more…

last night in the house!! leaving in the morning to go back to Wellesley… Went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner tonight. Yummy juicy steak… it was like a giant chunk of beef tataki… because their medium rare is more rare than usual. but the best steak by far is still from Rosie’s in Arlington, MA. Got Coffee heathbar crunch cheesecake (haha… i think i get this almost everytime…) can’t wait to get back to Wellesley!!! i guess i’ll move the bulk of my stuff from Severance to McAfee Monday… since that’s just winter clothes + fridge + books + misc stuff. Oh man… this year better be awesome!!!
